Yes, it’s true, announced two days ago the third of the Microsoft-backed role-playing series is set to be released sometime, somewhere in 2010.
So if you haven’t already, like myself, you should probably go pickup a copy of Fable II and beat the crap out of it (game-wise) because Fable III will take place directly after the Fable II storyline. Players will take control of their Fable II character’s daughter/son in the upcoming game to become the ruler of Albion. Something about an heir to the throne, stuff like that.
Along with the storyline, the game seems to be taking on a more Renaissance type feel, which is strange considering that Assassin’s Creed 2 is going in the same direction. Either way, Fable has always been good for going back to those single-player RPG roots of Zelda and World of..nevermind, Zelda, just Zelda. It’s actually one of the few RPGs that don’t become MMO’s and yet still retain their value in length.
Here’s the trailer from xbox.com. Look an awful lot like Lord of the Rings if you ask me…

To put it short, my life has been the culmination of nearly every video game product available to me from the Nintendo Entertainment System all the way through to the current competitors, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
I grew up in the suburbs of Toronto where it snowed…greatly, for a good portion of the year, so every so often, to stop our knuckles from freezing over, my brothers and I would gear up to play some Donkey Kong Country or Battle Toads. When summer finally came around, though this wasn”t necessary anymore, and we could finally make the journey out to the park, well we sort of just decided to stay at home anyway, and play some more.
Leading up to my more recent years, though time is a strain, the extended crew, now including my friends, always manages to find time at some point during the week to play something or the other, either on the newest of new consoles, or the classics.
In turn, we also give back to the gaming community. My friend, a genius at Actionscript, and I get together to kick out some jams and lay down some hardcore browser-based games.
So now, more than 5 years later, with no date, cola in my veins, and music pounding my brain, I bring to you my literary footprint on those masterpieces of technology that we consider as video games.
i love games.. good news … waiting……
thanks
I have yet to play Fable 2, although our house now has a 360 and my mate has a copy of it so hoping to get stuck in soon. If this wasn’t the case I’d probably wait for it on the PC. Well all know Fable 2 The Lost Chapters will appear at some point.
Now i have to rush, i have not played fable II yet. I need to play it now, as I have to catch up the fable 3.
I just love games, it will really a interesting thing which is more entertaining.
I have on good authority that thy are planninig mass release sometime in May or June 2010. They are working round the clock to fulfill this deadline and improve on the successes of Fable 1 and 2.
That’s unfair to PC users the 3rd part is already announced and the 2nd haven’t even been ported to PC
